It is a narrative which take sthe reader to the schools the author attended, the grist and lumber mills he visited, the celebration on the plaza he participated in and the vigilante activity he observed.” Apart from serialization in the Watsonville Pajaronian, there was a limited print run of 300 copies by James Piratsky. The extensive Index has been added for this printing, together with revisions to the Table of Contents.
