"As a boy in the first decade of this century [i.e. the 20th century], I spent many hours on Shelburne harbour. The attractions were many until the advent of the automobile. Shelburne had seven wharves and all types of boats were moored at its docks."

There follows a description of the fishing industry, the Schooner, the Dory, the men that sailed them, and the relationship of Shelburne and Gloucester, Massachusetts. Uncommon.
