Six reprints by this preeminent British Columbia historian, all Fine or Near Fine save ‘Governor Musgrave’ which is age toned at the edges. Detailed bibliographic references can be found in Lamb’s excellent bibliography found in the January, 1944 issue of The British Columbia Historical Quarterly, with a Supplement in the October, 1946 issue.

‘International Aspects of the Maritime Fur-Trade’ was Howay’s Presidential Address reprinted from the Proceedings of the Royal Society of Canada, 1942. The Royal Society was also the source of ‘An Identification of Sir Alexander Mackenzie’s Fort Park (1928), ‘A List of Trading Vessels in the Maritime fur Trade, 1820-1825 (1934), ‘The Negro Immigration into Vancouver Island in 1858’ (1935), and ‘Governor Musgrave and Confederation’ (1921), the most uncommon title of the group. All are in dark brown card covers, save this last two which are stapled wraps.

‘Some Lengthy Open-boat Voyages in the Pacific Ocean’ was reprinted from an ‘American Neptune’ issue in 1944.

A desirable collection.
