Self-Published in British Columbia, 1967. Second Printing. Quarto, in Card Covers. Near Fine.
District Commissioner MacInnes first penned this history in 1958. His passing in 1967 prompted this re-issue with an added facsimile reproduction as the final leaf of his unattributed obituary. 107 + + pp.; photocopied, yet clear, pages with typescript both recto and verso. An unmarked copy of a rare bit of history of the Boy Scouts of Canada in this area of British Columbia. There is no Table of Contents or Index, but from internal evidence the material begins in 1910 with the following excerpt from the Cowichan Leader for Augusts 11 of that year - "To the Editor: Sir - I note that General Baden-Powell, father of the boy scout movement is coming and will organize the boy scout movement on the Pacific Coast and in various other cities en route." - and ends in 1958. Scarce.
