Welcome to Murdoch's Bookshoppe!
From April of 1993 until June of 2013, we operated a 'bricks and mortar' store from the same location in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia, Canada. Our service is now provided through the internet and, as we have listed only a small portion of our inventory, we welcome your queries by email, post, or phone. Your options can be found on the Contact Us page.
You may also view and search our inventory listed in $US on the Advanced Book Exchange (ABE) together with a wide variety of Catalogues arranged by Topic. Click Here.
We look forward to having the opportunity to assist in building your collection! Open by appointment if you live nearby or are traveling through the lower mainland of B.C, We still hope to create the serendipity of discovering a book you didn't know existed and always welcome your queries. "All books are divisible into two classes: the books of the hour, and the books of all time." (John Ruskin, Sesame and Lilies).
We have a strong collection of Canadiana in general, including First Nations material, as well as titles on the history of British Columbia. You will also find in our collection First Editions, signed copies, military history, poetry and, of course, rare books. In the final analysis, book browsing and collecting should be enjoyable, whether you are seeking an antiquarian title or staple-bound ephemera of local history. We look forward to having the opportunity to be of service!
